KANGAR: Universiti Malaysia Perlis has won a highly regarded inventors award for its portable solar generators at an international exhibition.
The power generators was developed in December to allow East Region flood victims at temporary possess to recharge their cellphones during the course of power failures.
In a statement here, the university said it also achieved a gold medal under the Nature and Renewable Energy category.
